Through partnerships with local schools & colleges who share our vision and will act as hubs for delivery of the educational elements, the programme will combine teaching excellence with high level coaching provision.
This is a great opportunity to extend learners knowledge through the power of sport, as well as having the option to gain an extra 6 qualifications such as first aid!
The programme is designed specifically for young men and women wanting to gain work experience and additional qualifications in the sports industry whilst continuing with their academic studies. Students will study towards a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Development, Coaching and Fitness) with the additional benefit of structured work experience placements and a coach mentoring programme. In addition to this, students will also gain a minimum of six additional qualifications to ensure that they are prepared to operate effectively and safely in the coaching environment.
Students will complete a minimum of four hours per week in organised work experience placements. These placements will see students delivering coaching sessions in their local communities on a variety of exciting projects.
Students will be allocated a professional mentor who will guide them through the coaching process. There will be weekly mentoring workshops where students will receive professional guidance on the planning, delivery and review of their work experience placements.
Students will be funded to complete a minimum of six additional qualifications as part of the programme. These will enhance CVs and improve chances for future employment or study in higher education. Typically, these qualifications would be in

- Child Protection
- Equity in Sports Coaching
- Level 1 Football
- Level 1 (Sport of choice)
- Level 2 Multisport
