King’s College is one of the sports powerhouses of the West Country and enjoys a national reputation for sporting excellence in a number of different games. The facilities are first-class, with ambitious plans to extend them further still in the coming years. The boarding at King’s is excellent, and pupils enjoy a vibrant and supportive social life.
The school has a very strong tradition of academic success, which provides well for a wide range of other activities such as music and drama.
Following traditional A Levels is not always the right choice for everyone, but you can still gain a first-class education that will help your university application by studying a Level 3 BTEC Diploma here at King’s, accessing all that independent school life has to offer.
This is an exciting new opportunity for 16 or 17 year olds who are looking to pursue a different style of learning and education. King’s offers a positive and creative learning environment with excellent facilities, including a designated fully-equipped IT suite. During the programme you can also gain qualifications that will help you to access sports and leisure industry employment opportunities. If football, futsal or rugby is your preferred sport, you can enjoy training and competing in a professional environment for teams such as Exeter City FC or Exeter Chiefs RFC, in dedicated regional and national competitions and events. Students who offer expertise in other sports are also very welcome to join the BTEC programme.
If you do not wish to specialise in a particular sport, you will still have access to the wide range of King’s sports, and be able to work with passionate and experienced coaches to develop your skills and opportunities.
